Joy Behar says the original “Jolene” is a song that’s really bad for women – something Reba McEntire finds it very hilarious… this right after Beyoncecover.
We hosted the country legend on Thursday in Los Angeles, and Reba actually talked about Bey’s foray into the genre with her new album “Cowboy Carte” — on the topic of Beyoncé delving into country, RME says she’s all for it.
Reba told us that Beyoncé is a welcome addition to the lineup and says everyone in the game is happy to have her. You can tell Reba is a fan… which is huge, because Reba is an icon.
Of course, there have also been plenty of comparisons made — especially since Bey’s covers of classic songs, including Dolly Parton‘Jolene’… something JB weighed in on this week. If you haven’t heard Joy had a strong opinion on the OG track and Bey’s interpretation from that.

As Joy said… she liked Bey’s version better, because she feels Dolly’s song is “anti-feminist” – and we actually got Reba’s take on that in this interview here too.
Here’s how Reba reacted to this suggestion…it seems very “bless your heart.”
