Taylor Swift is not part Cowboy Carter. While Swifties speculated that the singer provided background vocals on Beyoncefrom the song, “Bodyguard,” ET has learned that is not the case.
Despite the lack of collaboration between the women, Swift and Beyoncé have been making a point to support each other lately. In fact, each of them attended the premiere of the other’s concert film. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in October and Renaissance: a Beyoncé film the following month.
“I’m so happy I’ll never know what my life would have been like without @beyoncé’s influence. The way she taught me and every artist here to break rules and challenge industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility,” Swift wrote on Instagram at the time. “She has been a guide throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like a true fairy tale.”
So, in an interview with TimeSwift added: “She’s a person’s most precious jewel – warm, open and funny. And she’s a huge disruptor of music industry norms. She’s taught every artist how to turn the tables and challenge archaic business practices.”
Although Swift is not part Cowboy Carter, many other stars are. Beyoncé’s eighth studio album includes appearances in Dolly Parton, Post Malone It is Miley Cyrus. Beyoncé’s daughter Rumi, 6, is also highlighted in the album.
In a post on Instagram Before the album’s release, Beyoncé wrote that Cowboy Carter is “the result of challenging myself and taking the time to bend and mix genres to create this body of work.”
“This is not a country album. This is a ‘Beyoncé’ album,” she concluded. “This is act ii COWBOY CARTER, and I’m proud to share it with you!”
