Here’s what Candace Owens said
Candace Owens appeared as a guest on ‘The Breakfast Club’ for an episode published via YouTube on Thursday, March 21st. About 26 minutes into the hour-long interview, Charlamagne Tha God apparently asked Owens about her “talking about the black family a lot” but marrying a white man.
The host explained that some people believe that black individuals should marry within their race because it promotes the economic stability of the group.
“It’s always very interesting to me to hear this paradox of black people who argue that the system is racist and then present an argument like this… that black Americans and white Americans shouldn’t marry,” she explained. “I think the best thing ever is when people come together based on who they love and get married.”
Owens explained that she never thought of her husband “as a race.” Or her children as “mixed”.
“I married the person it made the most sense to marry” she explained. “…It was difficult for me to find a partner who was a challenge for me… with the same interests… I fell in love with my husband just because I consider him one of the most brilliant people ever. I love him very much and from the things we talked about, there is no other person I could have married.”

Instagram user @indigo_444_ wrote, “She gave her reasons without degrading black men. Take notes.
While Instagram user @trêshoodosisters commented, “She is the queen of deflection! Discreet, saying that most black men don’t match her IQ. It states that racism and police brutality are justified against black people. Turn around and serve an apple pie with family values! 😂 I will never take her side. I know how she feels about crimes against people of color, voting rights, and so many others 🗑️ that she loves to spew.”
Instagram user @ashleyldalton_ wrote, “Candance is essentially saying that she only dated men who were intellectually compatible and intellectually stimulating to her…. There’s nothing wrong with that.
While Instagram user @younggeminii added, “A Versuz with Dr Umar is necessary 🤔”
Instagram user @daniellepondermusic wrote: “Candace Owens is on a PR tour to make you forget who she really is, and from the comments it’s clear it’s working, wow.”
While Instagram user @constantly_evolving_83 added, “So basically she doesn’t think black men are smart enough, I get it! Or she couldn’t find a smart enough black man…ok 😏”
Instagram user @greg_d47 wrote, “Her insecurities are making you think she is saying that black men don’t have the IQ she needs. But that’s completely the opposite of what she said. She literally stated “I never thought of my husband as a race” but somehow people will take that as a slight towards black men. I can’t make this shit up 😂😂😂😂”
While Instagram user @stilltobz added, “To be honest, she didn’t lie. Many people are satisfied with their appearance and forget that intelligence is equally important.”
Instagram user @maegen_thee_studentnurse wrote: “I’m all for black love… and I can’t stand her… but let’s be clear. No one owes the world an explanation for marrying the person they chose. She grew up, he grew up… that’s it, that’s all.”
Commenter recently caused a stir after talking about THIS rap song
As The Shadow Room Previously reported, Owens also sparked backlash when he shared his thoughts on Ice Spice’s song “Think U The S**t (Fart)” earlier this year.
“Think you suck, bitch? You’re not even the fart. I’m going hard, like? Ice Spice raps on the single.
In response, Owens had some harsh words about the song, comparing it to the downfall of society.
“If you’re wondering whether or not it’s a good song, what do you think? It’s called ‘Think U The S**t (Fart).’ Now I think we can all admit that we have fallen as a society. I mean, I wouldn’t say it was Mozart or Beethoven,” she said.
