According to ClickOrlandoMelady is facing charges of “sexual assault on a defenseless person.” Additionally, the 37-year-old has reportedly been charged with “video voyeurism against a victim 19 or older.”
Additionally, officials with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office are reportedly encouraging the public to contact the office if they believe they were victimized by Melady.
Authorities are also asking those with information related to the case to contact the office at 386-313-4911.

According to the outlet, Flagler County authorities arrested Melady on Wednesday, September 11. They reportedly discovered her alleged actions through a separate case being investigated by Daytona Beach police.
Additionally, authorities have reportedly discovered “a video they say Melady made of the sexual assault.” The clip allegedly shows Melady “molesting” an unconscious patient “in an ambulance while he was on duty in 2021.” According to FlaglerLive.comThe footage appears to have been taken by Melady and reportedly showed him “setting up the camera and moving it during the incident.”
It is worth noting that the exact date of the attack was October 17, 2021, as per WESH.
After interviewing the unidentified victim, officers reportedly discovered they were unaware of the attack.

According to FlaglerLive.comMelady’s sexual assault charge is “punishable by up to 30 years in prison.” Additionally, the outlet reports that he is currently being held in the Volusia County Jail on $150,000 bail for the video voyeurism charge and “no bail” for the sexual assault charge.
“It is incomprehensible to me what this predator did to an unconscious victim while on duty, while tasked with providing appropriate emergency medical care, but instead sexually assaulted her,” Sheriff Rick Staly was quoted as saying, according to the outlet. “There are likely other victims of his disgusting behavior.”
