Traffic on France’s high-speed rail network is expected to return to normal on Monday, Transport Minister Patrice Vergriet announced today, after acts of sabotage on the network caused chaos for travellers yesterday.

“A full return to normality is expected on Monday,” the minister told reporters during a briefing on the evolution of the situation.
Today, 7 out of 10 high-speed trains will run on the railways of the north, west and southwest of France, the French railway company SNCF announced today, a day after acts of sabotage committed against the high-speed rail network (TGV) before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
