“Thank you so much to FX for investing in the thing that you probably shouldn’t invest in, which is a restaurant,” Storer joked. “Hulu. Disney. This episode was kind of a weird episode where we were all kind of cramped in a smaller house. It was kind of a situation where I could kind of, for the first time, see our entire crew. And it was special, ‘cause I got to see how hard everybody worked and how much everybody cared and how much they cared about each other.”
He continued, “And I just want to settle for that on their behalf, just because they’re so good. And I think we’ve been able to do that for a few years now. And everyone knows how lucky we are to be able to do that. And for anyone who’s watching ‘The Bear,’ that means a lot to us. Thank you so much. That’s cool.”
Storer’s victory introduced The bear for a record 11 awards for most Emmy wins in a single comedy season, breaking the series’ previous record of 10.
Surprisingly, The Gift didn’t win Best Comedy Series — that honor went to Hacks.
