Caitlin Clark is already delivering for the WNBA – she had a killer performance in her first preseason game, scoring basket after basket… in front of a packed arena.
The basketball phenom was the center of attention on Friday night as she and her Indiana Fever teammates battled the Dallas Wings in front of a sold-out crowd at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
Clark scored 16 points in the first half alone, outpacing all other players. She calmed down in the 2nd half, finishing with 21 points… but remember, it was just a preseason game, so players and coaches aren’t exactly giving it their all.
CC also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals as his Fever narrowly lost to the Wings in a 79-76 contest. Caitlyn’s main rival on Wings, Jaelyn Brownhad an equally impressive game, also scoring 21 points.
But the points aren’t really what the WNBA wanted from this game…it’s the fact that Caitlyn’s presence fueled the 7,000-seat arena’s sellout.
Caitlin Clark won’t give up!!
Another DEEP TRIPLE beyond the arc

@WNBA
As you probably know, Caitlyn was a two-time NCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Year while attending the University of Iowa — and her team reached the National Championship last month before losing to undefeated South Carolina.
Caitlyn had already been launched into stardom at that point… and, as everyone predicted, she was elaborate number 1 for the WNBA’s Indiana Fever.
She is so popular that many fans – wearing her University of Iowa jersey number 22 – stood in line for more than 3 hours outside the stadium last night, waiting to see her play.
All that popularity, all the fans showing up and buying merchandise… it all makes the WNBA sound: cha-ching!!!
