On Wednesday (September 18), Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs lost its appeal for bail, meaning the 54-year-old’s pretrial detention remains. Combs has been trending news for the past three days after the The FBI arrested him on Monday (September 16). The next day, his arraignment unsealed three felony charges related to sex trafficking, prostitution and racketeering.

Diddy’s attorney addressed the denied appeal outside of court on Wednesday. Additionally, images emerged of the music mogul’s children, Christian, Justin and Quincy Brownleaving the courthouse after supporting their father’s efforts to receive house arrest. They did not speak to the press as they left, accompanied by security guards and others.
Diddy’s children also appeared in solidarity with Diddy’s indictment on Tuesday (September 17) and again did not speak to the press.
Speaking of daddies, in a recently released interview with Angela Yee, Quincy Brown opened up about where he stands with his biological father, Al B. Sure. Brown clarified that they’re more like “homies” who hang out together. Additionally, he hinted that they’re not on the father-son level that Sure seemingly painted when he publicly begged his son to “come home” after Diddy’s homes were broken into earlier this year.

Here’s what Diddy’s lawyer said about his denied bail appeal
As previously reported, Diddy’s legal team submitted a $50 million bail proposal ahead of his arraignment. Combs was willing to wear GPS monitoring, surrender his passport and those of his mother and four daughters, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and Love, and restrict female visitors.
Still, the judge stopped him for custody on Tuesday (September 17). Then another judge denied the bail appeal on Wednesday. “The government has proven that the defendant is a danger. Regarding the bail package, it is insufficient, even with a flight risk,” the judge supposedly declared in court.
“The fight continues. We will not give up by any stretch of the imagination. I have told Mr. Combs that I will try to get his case to trial as quickly as possible. I will try to minimize the amount of time he spends in very, very difficult and, I believe, inhumane housing conditions in the special housing unit at the Metropolitan Detention Center and I will do everything I can to move this case forward as quickly as possible.”
His attorney added that “everything” is on the government’s timeline and how long it will take to turn over key content in the case. The attorney said Diddy is also maintaining his innocence regarding the felony charges and that they are preparing for trial.

While Diddy lost his bail appeal, he won a separate appeal regarding a sexual assault lawsuit in Michigan. A judge threw out the $100 million default judgment against Combs, which was won by inmate Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith earlier this month. Smith previously accused Sean of sexually assaulting him at a party in 1997.
