Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh had such an awkward moment on the sideline of Thursday night’s Jets game that many wondered if the two were fighting … but the quarterback was adamant after the altercation that he and his coach are fine.
The awkward scene unfolded in the second quarter of New York’s blowout win over the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium … when Saleh went to give his star signal-caller a hug after a touchdown.

Check out the video from Amazon’s broadcast, when Saleh went to hug Rodgers… the QB rebuked the hug — and muttered something that seemed to make his coach flinch.
Almost immediately, the clip gained traction on social media — with internet sleuths working HARD to try to read Rodgers’ lips.
The video went so viral that a reporter asked Rodgers about it after the 24-3 win… and he insisted there were no hard feelings.
“He’s not a big hugger normally,” the 40-year-old said. “So I didn’t know he was going for the hug. He likes to do the two-handed chest push, too. He talks a lot about two-score advantage. So I kind of gave him a little push and said, ‘Two-score advantage. ‘ That’s what happened.”
For his part, Saleh also downplayed the meeting… echoing Rodgers’ explanation that he had “a two-point advantage.”
Either way, the Jets are riding high — the win was one of their most impressive in recent memory… and the team now has a long off-season to enjoy, as they don’t play again until September 29.
