“The Live Digital Tutoring is an important innovation. We use technology to provide students with access to a quality supplementary course,” emphasized Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during his visit to the Ministry of Education, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Digital Tutoring Center for 3rd Secondary School students.
“I am sure that this institution will take root,” added the Prime Minister, wishing “a good start”
The Prime Minister was received by the leadership of the ministry, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, and Deputy Ministers Zetta Makri and Ioanna Lytrivi.
“It is a great pleasure to be here today for the inauguration of the Digital Training Centre,” said Kyriakos Pierrakakis, addressing the Prime Minister.
The minister spoke of “an important start” taking place today, while according to the Ministry of Education more than 4,000 students have already signed up to attend the free, live afternoon classes.
“There are many innovations, including live sign language interpretation, and later subtitling. It is an important service that we hope students will embrace,” Pierrakakis added.
The Prime Minister and the management of the Ministry of Education had the opportunity to watch the delivery of the History class, which marks the debut of Digital Education, from the studio on the ground floor of the ministry.
Who does this concern?
All 3rd grade students who wish to attend Digital Tutor courses must connect to the digitalschool.gov.gr platform with the Panhellenic School Network codes.
All candidates applying for Higher Education through National Exams have free access to the Digital Tutorial, thus having the opportunity to attend, in the evening, live lectures on all the subjects of the courses being examined, including special courses, such as linear and architectural design, German and French.
There will be 19 courses for GEL and 26 for EPAL
In the first phase, as Mr. Pierrakakis mentioned, lectures will be given in 11 nationally examined courses and, subsequently, 19 GEL courses and 26 EPAL courses will be taught.
During the course participants are not authorized to intervene, but can ask questions, which will be answered shortly.
Classes will be held in the studio set up on the ground floor of the ministry.
The total of 79 teachers who will teach at the Digital Classroom Center have digital tools at their disposal to facilitate understanding of the class, while also giving grades to students in each class and some tests.
The Digital Tutorial schedule is published on the platform http://digitalschool.gov.gr.
