The Colorado house where the famous killer Chris Watts killed his wife before taking the lives of his two daughters is still for sale … and the asking price has been reduced for the fourth time, TMZ has learned.
The 5-bedroom Frederick, CO home — which was featured extensively in the 2020 Netflix documentary “American Murder: The Family Next Door” — has been on the market for 156 days, per Zillow.
Just this week… real estate agents slashed the price for the fourth time… on the house, which is actually quite nice… to $699,000, records show.
TMZ broke the news that the home was initially purchased after filing for bankruptcy following the horrific events of 2018… and the current owner — who shelled out $600,000 — was trying to download this since April.
In fact… on April 24th, the price was reduced from $775,000 to $750,000. Then on May 30th, it was reduced to $749,000… fast forward to July… the real estate agents reduced the price to $724,000. In early July, there was an offer made, but it fell through.
The sticking point may be the stigma of the horrendous case… Chris is serving five life sentences behind bars and has confessed to killing his wife, Shananneand her 2 young daughters Lovely and Heavenly, in the end — or it could be that other homes in the area have sold for much less… $435,000 to $475,000, for Zillow.
This wouldn’t be the first time a murder house has been put up for sale, despite its gruesome past… just take a look at the Jon Benét Ramsey house or the Menendez Brothers Mansion.
We have reached out to the brokers for comment… So far, no response.
