Supermodel Kate Moss’ half-sister has spoken openly about taking Ozempic, claiming she suffered a seizure and was hospitalized after overdosing on the weight-loss drug.
Lottie Moss is opening up about her frightening experience with Ozempic.
The British model and half-sister of another catwalk star Kate Moss claimed he started taking the celebrity diabetes drug-turned-weight-loss solution after getting it from a friend who bought it without a doctor’s prescription.
Lottie said that shortly after starting Ozempic she began feeling unwell, with nausea and vomiting – as many people experience when taking the drug – but it was only when she lost more than 15kg in a matter of weeks that the 26-year-old began to notice more intense side effects, such as a loss of colour in her face and dramatic weight loss.

“I used to throw up, it was horrible. I took a smaller dosage the first time I took it, then I increased it more. I ended up in bed for 2 days, I felt so bad, my weight dropped,” the model said as she opened up about the terrifying ordeal in her Keep dreaming with podcast by Lottie Moss.
She continued: “After I was in bed for those two days, it was almost gone and I just wanted to stop taking it because it’s not like you can stop taking it, it’s not like a pill that you don’t take when you wake up in the morning, it’s in your system and it’s there.”
In fact, things got so bad that Lottie had to be rushed to the hospital.

“I felt so bad one day that I said to my friend, ‘I can’t keep water down, I can’t keep food down, I can’t keep liquids down, nothing. I need to go to the hospital, I feel so bad,’” she recalled.
Lottie had a seizure as a result of her dehydration, she claimed, and while she was increasing the dose as many do over time when taking the drug, as a result of her relatively low weight when she started taking Ozempic, Lottie was taking double the dosage for someone her size, causing her to overdose on the drug.
“We went to the ER at 3 a.m., and we went to see one of the nurses and she was like, ‘How much are you taking?’ I was like, ‘That’s still too much,’ and she was like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s not the amount I’m trying to take,’” Lottie shared. “She asked how much weight I could lose in two weeks and I told her… She sent me to the ER and I was wheeled around the hospital.”

She continued: “At one point I went to the bathroom and I felt really sick, I felt like I was going to pass out, I assumed something was going on, I didn’t feel right. As soon as I got into the room where I was being seen by another nurse, I had a seizure because I was so dehydrated, which was actually one of the scariest things that’s ever happened to me in my life.”
“My friend Reece had to hold my toes down and it was just so scary, the whole scenario, I didn’t know what was happening, my face was twitching, my whole body was tense, my palms, it was so bizarre, your palms are twitching and you can’t move them and it feels like you’re going to break your hand,” Lottie added. “It was really horrific.”
At the end of the day, Lottie declared that what she went through was not worth the pounds she lost, telling her listeners, “This is a warning to everyone. Please, for those who are thinking about taking it, don’t take it, it’s not worth it.”

“It’s these little issues that I wish I had identified before I took it… and it was the worst decision I ever made,” she added, before dramatically declaring that she would “rather die” than “any day” take Ozempic again.
Speaking about it, the OnlyFans content creator said she hopes to prevent others from having a similar experience.
“I hope that talking about it and saying that my experience with it can be a lesson to some people, it’s not worth it,” she advised her listeners. “It’s for diabetes, it’s not for weight loss, really.”
“I understand that in the media everyone and all these celebrities are doing it now and it’s so hard to look at that and see these drastic weight losses, especially for people with eating disorders and dieting issues, it’s so hard to see that when maybe you’re not someone who loses weight quickly or who’s struggling to gain it back,” Lottie continued.

Lottie also spoke about the “heroin style” skinny pattern her sister Kate made famous back then, and its alarming comeback, which has reportedly been discontinued.
“This fashion heroine pattern right now coming back, which is something that happened in the 90s, we shouldn’t go back there. That shouldn’t be a pattern right now… Where did body positivity go?” she questioned. “I don’t see why we were doing it right, curvy women were consuming and it was becoming more of a pattern to be curvier and more attractive and now it’s gone back to this style of heroine, not consuming, being tremendous, tremendously thin.”
“And clearly if that’s your body type and you’re naturally very thin then that rules you out, but just be happy with your weight and happy to have a physique that works and functions rather than putting it down for something like that,” Lottie added. “It can be very damaging to your physique sooner or later.”
