Diddyis experiencing an extreme reversal of fortune right now — locked up in a federal prison where many famous people are held, but which may be as far from luxurious as the embattled tycoon has been in at least 30 years.
Shortly after the ruling that ordered Diddy to be held without bailthe feds sent him from the federal courthouse in Lower Manhattan to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn… a facility notorious for its brutal and often deadly conditions.
MDC Brooklyn has been the short-term residence of several high-profile inmates in recent times, including R. Kelly, Fetty Wap, Michael Cohen, Alison Mack – The Story of and Ghislaine Maxwell. Now, Diddy may be adjusting to his new surroundings — a stark contrast from his mansion lifestyle in Miami and Los Angeles.
Federal judges have referred questions to the Bureau of Prisons over alleged inhumane conditions at the facility, and again in June, an inmate was murdered there. And then there are the meals.
MDC’s meal plan includes dinner options featuring dishes like roast turkey or tofu with rice, boiled potatoes, beets, and whole-grain bread with a drink… which certainly isn’t a fantastic Italian wine.
It’s a far cry from Diddy’s regular weight loss plan, which we hear usually includes dishes like duck, steak, natural vegetables, shrimp, salmon, crab, and cheese.

Beets… that’s about as robust an introduction to prison life as you’re going to get. Menu-wise, at least.
