Immigration, and especially the challenges faced by the first host countries, were at the heart of the meeting between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the president of the Spanish Popular Party, Alberto Nunez Feijó.
Issues of European and mutual interest were also on the agenda, with the economy at the forefront.
Emphasis on border protection
Based on information from the Prime Minister’s Press Office, Mitsotakis reiterated that Greece follows a strict but fair immigration policy and places special emphasis on guarding and protecting the borders, which are also the EU’s external borders.
