The first debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump ended on a high note and in a fast-paced, heated debate. The debate was fierce – especially on the foreign policy front.
The Republican candidate’s closing statement is indicative of the prevailing mood.
“We are a failed nation. We are a nation in serious decline. We are being laughed at around the world,” he said, warning that a third world war is possible if Harris, the worst vice president in the history of our country, wins the election in November.
Harris: Moving forward
Harris, for her part, began her closing statement by saying that she and Trump have two “very different” visions for America.
She repeated a phrase she has used in the past to show that, unlike the Republican candidate, she is focused on the future.
“We’re not going back,” he said. “We can chart a new path forward.”
