“Promoting Sunset” Beginner Alanna Gold has apologized to the small California group Pioneertown… after falsely claiming in the Netflix show’s latest season that she owned the place… TMZ has learned.
In an apology to Pioneertown residents seen by TMZ, Alanna says she’s very sorry for the mix-up, admitting that she definitely doesn’t own Pioneertown… and certainly didn’t mean any harm by making the statement.
Okay, we’re waiting for your permission to upload Instagram media.
Alanna clarified that she got a little excited about the show because she’s in love with Pioneertown — it’s where she had her first date with her husband and they even got married at the historic Soundstage.
She informed us that they needed to become part of the group… so that they could buy a house and some property there, and that’s how the confusion happened.
The apology came after Pioneertown officials called for him to … blast his “baseless allegations” on the Pioneertown Gazette’s IG. They said his falsehoods were a slap in the face to the town’s 78-year history and its generations of residents.
They made it clear that Pioneertown is a one-square-mile census-designated group with over 400 residents and is privately owned by over 100 independent artists.
As for Alanna, they stated that she has only a small non-controlling interest in an entity that owns 6 of the 35 parcels on Mane Road — less than 1% of Pioneertown’s total 640 acres. So claiming that she owns the entire town is simply inappropriate.
