Los Angeles LGBT Center technical director Phillip Picardi left the group after two years to work at WeightWatchers.
Picardi has been named director of print for the weight management company, specializing in building communities within and outside of WeightWatchers. He will lead groups in model advertising, communications, social print and employee experience.

Among Picardi’s many accomplishments at the LGBT Center, he shepherded Donatella Versace’s visits to its Hollywood campus before the designer was named the group’s inaugural international ambassador. He also revamped the center’s annual gala, which most recently honored “Depraved” star Cynthia Erivo. Picardi oversaw a Giving Tuesday fundraiser featuring Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz and helped launch DEI events including Extremely Favored for Black History Past Month and Latinx Heritage Month’s Queerceañera.
Picardi will continue to help the center, assisting with the spring gala and other efforts related to technology and media relations.

Prior to the medium, Phillip spent over a decade in media, serving as editor-in-chief of Out and editorial director of Attract. He is best known for his role as chief content officer at Teen Vogue, which resulted in it being recognized as the fastest-growing women’s magazine in the U.S. for two consecutive years. He also founded Condé Nast’s first LGBTQ+ publication.
