The multi-award winning and profitable artist sat down with Vogue as its October cover star, where she opened up for the first time about Polansky and revealed the impact he had on her upcoming album, which she called LG7.
“Michael was the one who advised me to do a new pop report. He was like, ‘Honey. I really like you. You want to do pop music,’” she advised the publication.

The album does not yet have an official title, but is scheduled for release in February 2025, with the first single expected in October. From Vogue The author described the song the 38-year-old singer played for him during the interview as “intense and menacing… an old-school Gaga song, unsettling but also upbeat.”
“As anyone would do for the person they love, I inspired her to lean into the pleasure of it. In Chromatica tour, I noticed a fire in her; I needed to help her keep that alive all the time and just start making music that she was completely happy with,” Polansky advised. Vogue individually.
“There’s a lot of pain that goes into this journey,” the singer advised the outlet regarding the album. “And as I begin to uncover that pain, it may very well play out in another facet of my art. When I’m here in this studio (Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La), I’m relaxed and I’m able to face my demons and what’s exceptional is… that is the song. I’ll listen to it again.”

Gaga opened up about her relationship with her fiancé, who she began dating shortly before COVID shut down the world in 2020. Polansky met the “Silly Love” singer’s mother, Cynthia Germanotta, in 2019 through a philanthropic partnership with Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
“My mom met him and he or she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband!’ I never could have imagined that my mom…found the best person for me,” Gaga recalled. Vogue.
The couple kept their romance and engagement relatively low-key until making their pink carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival for Gaga’s upcoming film, Joker: Madness for Two, on Wednesday, the place where she showed off her diamond engagement ring.

Gaga confirmed she was engaged to Polansky at the 2024 Paris Olympics when she introduced the businessman to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal as “my fiancé.” Video of the encounter went viral.
“I’ve never met anyone like Michael. He’s so good and so varied. And his life and mine are completely different. He’s a very private man and he’s not with me for any other reason than we’re perfect for each other. But I think what I want my fans to know is that I’m just, like, so completely satisfied,” Gaga said. Vogue before adding that she was in a “really dark place” mentally during Chromatica.
“I struggled for, like, a few years before that. But then things started to change. As a result, I had a real friend who noticed the ways I was sad and why. And he wasn’t afraid to really hold my hand. And get to know me. On a really deep level,” she continued.
The singer shared that the couple became close by talking on their phones for weeks before the lockdown began and they moved in together at her Malibu home, where they had a “wonderful chapter of a bizarre kind of normalcy.”

“I may have been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift from that point on was that I was able to give my full attention to my relationship. I met this completely supportive, loving human being who needed to meet me — outside of Lady Gaga,” she said of Polansky.
