Jennie Garth It is Pedro Facinelli are openly examining their divorce — the good, the bad, and the very, very, very, very difficult.
On a recently aired the second part of their meeting for the Beverly Hills, 90210 alumni podcast, I choose myself, the ex-husband and wife addressed how they felt about other people dating after their 2012 split — and how they felt it impacted their three children. Over 11 years of marriage, the exes welcomed daughters Luca, 26, Lola, 21, and Fiona, 17.
“Neither of us got married right away, but we both had a few relationships left and right, and the girls got closer – I know, from my perspective, their relationship after we got divorced, the girls got closer to their then-girlfriend and that it was very, very, very, very difficult for me.” Although Garth did not name the girlfriend she was referring to, Facinelli began dating his Loose co-star, Jaimie Alexander, in 2012 and confirmed their engagement in March 2015. Less than a year later, they announced the end of their engagement.
She continued, “I wondered how you felt when another guy came along. I don’t think I ever took anyone really seriously until Dave (Abrams).”
Facinelli called it a “catch-22” because he had a “long-term person” getting close to his girls and said it was hard to see them having someone else leave. “I had nothing I could do to help or stop this from happening,” he explained. “It was just – that’s what happened and I felt bad that I was an effect of that, because I was with that person for a few years.”
Addressing Garth’s dating life, he said men would come into her lives with her in “shorter spurts.”
“They would go on vacation with a guy, and then they would meet them and then you would move on to someone else. It was a kind of dating… For me, it was like I had to trust you, you know. I had to say, ‘OK, well, she trusts this person, so I have to trust her.’
However, Facinelli explained that he had a different point of view on the situation and thought that “the more love the children have, the better”.
“I think it was harder for you to be the mother seeing someone else come in,” he said.
O Twilight alum – who since then welcomed a son with his fiancee of four years, Lily Anne Harrison – praised Garth’s current husband, Dave Abrams, calling him “a wonderful guy”. She and Abrams married in 2015, separated in 2017It is canceled the divorce in 2019.
Today, the actor sees his new relationships as a benefit to his daughters and said they are “incredibly lucky” to have had these stepfathers “who added to their personalities, who grew through them as well.”
Meanwhile, Garth recently shared an update about one of her daughters, Fiona, who went to the ball. “This will be the second to last prom with my girls. It’s always so much fun to help them dress and feel beautiful,” the actress wrote on Instagram. “Enjoy every moment of the trip. It goes by so quickly… ❤️.”
