Kosovo does not forget the role played by former Prime Minister Tony Blair in liberating the country and that is why…. they “take” his name.
“Tony Blair meets Tonibler, Tonibler, Tonibler, Tonibler and Tonibler”
According to a Politico article titled “Tony Blair Meets Tonibler, Tonibler, Tonibler, Tonibler, Tonibler,” the former British Prime Minister likes hero status in Kosovo.
The former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom traveled to Kosovo on Monday to celebrate 25 years since the end of the country’s war with Serbia and received a warm welcome from President Viosa Osmani, a gaggle of children waving British flags… and five men named Toner.
The name arose in Kosovo in honor of Blair due to the role he played in the country’s liberation.

Tony Blair and the war with Serbia
Blair, who as British prime minister helped organize an international coalition to launch airstrikes in an attempt to force Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic to end his military campaign against the Kosovo Liberation Army, today enjoys hero status in Pristina.

A statue of the former British leader will be unveiled on Wednesday and placed on Blair Avenue in the city of Ferizaj.
This isn’t the first time Blair has encountered her namesakes. In 2010, during a visit to the country’s capital, she met nine boys who were named in his honor and was told that his name was “quite common” in Kosovo.
“I have no regrets about supporting Kosovo”
At a special session of parliament scheduled for his arrival, Blair told MPs that he did not regret his support for Kosovo.
“Meeting the Kosovo refugees in the camps near Skopje, hearing their heartbreaking stories of displacement and cruelty, their faces desperate for help, looking into my face for some sense of whether I could or could help. We helped and I never regretted it,” she said.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D’Alema were also in Kosovo this week to celebrate the anniversary of the country’s liberation.
