Mike Tyson is recovering from a bout of ulcers he suffered while flying across the country — and it was so bad that airline staff had to ask any medical professionals on the plane to introduce themselves.
Tyson was flying from Miami to Los Angeles on Saturday when he began to feel unwell. The American Airlines flight was almost arriving at LAX, but the boxer was in so much pain that the flight attendants asked if there was anyone on board to help him.
Mike’s rep told TMZ … “He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. He is grateful to the medical team who were there to help him.”

Paramedics boarded the plane when it arrived at the LAX gate and treated Tyson at the scene… according to In touch weeklywho first reported the incident.
Tyson’s rep says he’s doing “very well” now.
Most passengers didn’t know that it was Mike who suffered the medical emergency… they just knew someone was in danger because the call for a doctor or nurse appeared on every seat screen before being announced over the PA.
There was a 2-hour delay in the flight taking off, but that had nothing to do with Tyson – who was feeling fine at the time. His representative says it was a mechanical problem with the plane. Passengers had to wait about 25 minutes to get off the plane due to paramedics checking MT.
Tyson, 57, is training for his July boxing match against Jake Paulo.
