The rock is not satisfied with today’s America and will NOT support Joe Biden … while the President is running for a second term in the White House.
Remember, Johnson, with influence over hundreds of millions of fans, threw his support behind Biden before the 2020 election… a huge achievement at the time for the presidential candidate.
Biden, who is struggling with approval ratings in the gutter (56% of Americans disapprove of the POTUS’ job performance) and poor poll numbers, could certainly use the help… but it won’t come. At least, not from the WWE legend.
“Am I happy with the state of America right now? Well, that answer is no,” The Rock told FOX News. Cainbefore adding that he is hopeful the country can right itself.
“Do I believe we’re going to get better? I believe that. I’m an optimistic guy and I believe we can get better.”
Then Johnson, 51, brought up his Biden endorsement and vice president Kamala Harris …which occurred about four years ago.
“The endorsement I made years ago with Biden was what I considered to be the best decision for me at that time. And I thought back then, when we talked about I’m in this position where I have some influence, and it’s my job so, I felt like, now it’s my job to exert my influence and share. That’s who I’m going to support,” DJ said of the reasoning behind the decision.
“Am I going to do it again this year? The answer is no,” The Rock said emphatically…revealing that he wouldn’t sit down with Biden and Harris and throw his support behind them like he did last time.
Why not? In addition to being dissatisfied with the current state of America, Johnson explained that his decision did not unify, but rather divided Americans.
“What I realized, and I didn’t realize at the time,” said The Rock, “what it did at that time was something that destroyed me deeply, then and now, which is the division. .”
DJ went on to explain that he thought the endorsement could help calm the country…but now he believes that was a mistake.
The presidential election is 7 months away… and most polls show donald trump ahead nationally by a few percentage points.
If Biden hopes to bridge that gap with celebrity help, it won’t come from The Rock.
