Billie Eilish is backpedaling on its not-so-veiled criticism Taylor Swift for releasing several different vinyl cuts of her songs… now saying that it’s everyone’s fault, including herself.
The singer posted a message on Sunday in an attempt to clarify what she said last week in an interview with billboard — where she expressed frustration with artists releasing multiple vinyl records of exactly the same music… all because it’s not good for the environment.
She didn’t name any names… but a lot of people considered it Taylor’s attempt, because she’s one of the biggest artists in the game to do this… almost famously.
However, now… BE is trying to shift the focus away from T-Swift and onto the issue more broadly – which Billie says she is also a part of by releasing a lot of vinyl.
She writes, “Okay, it would be amazing if people would stop putting words in my mouth and actually read what I said in that billboard article. I wasn’t singling anyone out, these are systemic, industry-wide issues.”
Billie continues… “When it comes to variants, a lot of artists release them, including ME, which is clearly stated in the article,” she added, before concluding: “The climate crisis is now and it’s about all of us being part of the problem and trying to do better, dammit.”
At first glance, it looks like she took a lot of criticism from Swifties and heard it all.
While Billie may be trying to fall on the sword a bit here, the fact is – her vinyl releases are, in fact, environmentally friendly… in any case, it seems like she regrets implicating Tay Tay.
