Lil Wayne gave fans an extra gift by appearing in one of Drakerecent shows, but viewers in the audience noticed the dynamic duo receiving on-stage assistance… from a teleprompter!
Weezy was Drake’s surprise guest on Sunday night in Sunrise, FL – the same show where he responded Kendrick Lamar – and some fans noticed a screen on the edge of the stage with the lyrics to “Right Above It”… the song they were playing.
In fact, the entire Amerant Bank Arena stage was equipped with teleprompters – whichever direction Drake and Wayne headed, the lyrics were right there, at their feet.
It was the perfect track to introduce to the Florida audience, considering it was the theme song for The rockfrom the HBO sports series “Ballers,” which was set in Miami.
It’s a multi-platinum hit, so it would be surprising if they didn’t know the song by heart. To be fair, there isn’t much evidence in this video that they were relying on the prompts – but let’s face it, forgetting the lyrics can be an awkward moment in a live show.
That’s the question a lot of people are asking… is it really a true performance if the artist is taking cues from a screen???
graphic artist Maha Sattva received thousands of comments questioning the validity of an artist’s live show, dividing fans’ opinions.

Of course, Drake stole that particular show telling Kendrick he wasn’t shaking about his “Like That” diss… and the world is patiently on his comeback response.
