Jake Paulo believes that his boxing match against Mike Tyson is one for the history books… saying the next event featuring the fighting legend will be “the greatest fight the world has ever seen.”
The Problem Child made a surprising statement on his latest episode of “BS with Jake Paul” this week… in response to Conor McGregorThe recent claim that there is a lack of interest in the fight.
Jake says social media stats prove the UFC star wrong… and considering everything will be available to Netflix’s 260 million subscribers, it could go down as the most-watched event in the history of the sport.
In fact, when he was asked if the Tyson fight would be better than Conor’s Pay-Per-View fight against Floyd Mayweather … Jake said it will undoubtedly surpass the 2017 spectacle.
“It will be seen more, 1,000%,” Jake said. “Of course.”
Jake noted the fact that they won’t be able to compare PPV numbers since the fight is free on the streaming service… but in terms of eyeballs, he’ll be running circles around Floyd vs. Conor.
FYI – Conor’s foray into the ring with Floyd had 4.3 million PPV buys… and TBE’s fight against Manny Pacquiao (the best-selling fight of all time) had 4.6 million purchases.
Jake said the coverage leading up to the fight of July 20th supports his position… and there are 10 times more articles about the Tyson event than the announcement of Conor’s last fight.
“No fight has hit those numbers in terms of head-to-head views, Instagram reels,” Jake said. “On our main pages alone, it’s about 50-60 million views on Instagram on both of our posts. Not to mention all the other sports pages that post this, this has never happened in the history of sports, to reach these numbers.”
“So this is, in my opinion, the greatest fight the world has ever seen.”
Jake said there’s no need for anyone to be jealous… because at the end of the day, he’s helping the entire industry.
There’s a lot more to the episode… Jake also revealed that he offered Tommy’s Fury a rematch, but his enemy refused because of money.
He also gave his opinion on a possible exhibition with Ryan Garcia …and he believes he would break the guy up.
