SPOILER ALERT: If you haven’t seen the special reunion of Love is blind Season 6, proceed with caution.
O Love is blind The Season 6 reunion special dropped Wednesday night and was filled with more twists and turns than Jeramey and Sarah Ann’s jet skis.
One of the most shocking moments occurred when the contestant Trevor Sovawho originally connected with Chelsea Blackwell in the pods, took the stage to address the allegation that he had a secret girlfriend during filming.
In February, the @therealityashley account posted screenshots of alleged text messages between Trevor and his alleged then-girlfriend, Natalia Marrero. The bodybuilder stated that she had just started dating Trevor when the cast approached him to appear on the show.
She said he agreed to be on the show and be in a relationship with her, and in the alleged text messages, an alleged Trevor said he had no plans to get married the next day. Love is blind.
The alleged texts also showed a supposed Trevor telling Natalia about meeting Chelsea in the pods and forming a connection with her. The supposed texts claimed that this was all a ruse.
Co-host Nick Lachey asked a shy-looking Trevor directly about the allegation, saying, “Unbeknownst to her, you have someone on the outside. I’d like to hear what you have to say.”
A visibly distraught Trevor began by stammering, “I had this whole thing planned out to say. I don’t know. Um, yeah, I guess I’ll start by saying, I wasn’t dating her, dating her technically. I never said, ‘Do you want to be my girlfriend?’ before the show started. But there was definitely, obviously, we were close, but she knew… she was the typical girl that I would choose in real life. And I told her before, ‘I want to continue with this to try to experiment with something else. . There is no justification for this. This sounds horrible. This is horrible, but I wanted to do this. I wanted to meet someone I wouldn’t in real life. It sucks that I acted like this with someone else before and soon after, but I went in with the mentality of, ‘I’m going to find someone.’ I want to try that.”
Trevor admitted to caring and even “loving” the other woman, but called their relationship “so toxic.”
“I know I’m toxic. I know I need to fucking change,” Trevor admitted. “I don’t know what you want me to say.”
He also claimed that he told the other woman that if he had met and gotten engaged, things would have ended between them.
“I told her that from the beginning. ‘You and I are toxic together. If I find someone here, then I’ll be with someone here,'” Trevor stated.
When asked by co-host Vanessa Lachey if he joined the show for the fame, Trevor admitted: “I came here for good and bad reasons. on the show because it taught me a lot about myself.”
He also personally apologized to Chelsea, saying she was the only one who deserved his apology, and offered to speak to her off-camera to provide any further clarification she needed.
Ultimately, Chelsea accepted Jimmy Presnell’s proposal and the two had a tumultuous relationship. They failed to make it to the altar, with Jimmy canceling the wedding days before the scheduled date. In addition to his time in the pods, Trevor also made a cameo at the show’s cast reunion, asking Chelsea if she thought she made the right decision.
After the show, Chelsea spoke to ET about the revelations about Trevor, saying, “I think the Trevor situation was just the most shocking information I could get today. for all of us now, but this was definitely the most unexpected.”
She added that she doesn’t regret not choosing Trevor from the pods.
“For a long time, I felt like maybe Trevor was a better choice for me and I do, I love him as a person,” she shared. “He’s a wonderful human being. But my intuition and my gut told me, this is not your man. This is not your person, just listen to your gut and your instincts and I did. At the end of the day, everything worked out like should be.”
In February, Chelsea responded to a fan’s comment on Instagram asking what she thinks about Trevor’s alleged past relationship.
“We have to understand… we are human,” Chelsea wrote at the time, posting a selfie with Trevor. “We all make mistakes. Our lives have become incredibly public very quickly. All we can do is have grace. It’s a very unfortunate situation. But I wouldn’t wish so much hate on anyone. Remember to be kind.”
