Firecrackers Ban in India: Before Diwali the Supreme Court has issued clear instructions on firecrackers. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court ordered Rajasthan and other states to stop using firecrackers during the festive season. The Supreme Court said that everyone has to control pollution.
A bench of Justices S Bopanna and MM Sundresh directed Rajasthan to take action to reduce air pollution during the festival season. The issue of firecrackers was heard in the Supreme Court in Rajasthan.
Ban on firecrackers in the entire country
A lawyer in the Supreme Court demanded a ban on firecrackers across India. The lawyer demanded to follow the earlier orders of the court regarding this. The lawyer told the court that the previous order was applicable to Delhi National Capital Region.

The court said that it is a misconception that the court is responsible on environmental issues. The court said that it is everyone’s responsibility to control pollution.
The court said that every citizen has to ensure that Diwali is celebrated in an environment friendly manner with less firecrackers. The court said that nowadays elderly people burst more firecrackers than school children. The court also directed the State of Rajasthan to take immediate action to reduce pollution in Udaipur.
Which firecrackers are banned?
The Supreme Court heard the issue of firecrackers. BJP leader Manoj Tiwari filed one of these petitions, challenging the complete ban on firecrackers during Diwali in Delhi in 2022. In 2021, the Supreme Court clarified that there is no complete ban on firecrackers; Only those crackers which contain borium are banned.
