Why Prince William Missed His Godfather’s Memorial
Given that his father, Prince Charles has just announced his cancer diagnosis and that William’s wife, Kate Middleton, was still recovering from an undisclosed illness Abdominal surgerypeople were worried when William did not attend the service.

“Sadly, the Prince of Wales is no longer able to attend King Constantine’s Memorial Service this morning due to a personal matter,” the palace said. NBC News in a February 27 statement.
With Prince William unavailable and King Charles in Cyprus for another event, the ball was given to Queen Camilla to be the face of the royal family.
At the time, worried about William’s family, the immediate follow-up was to inquire about the health status of Kate Middleton, who was admitted to the hospital last month for a planned surgery, which was a surprise to the public.
The palace did not provide further details about why William missed the event, but added that Catherine, Princess of Wales, “remains well”.
