Kelly was part of a team of NBC announcers who watched Celine’s comeback performance at the Eiffel Tower during the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday.

As you know, Celine was sidelined for 2 years due to Stiff Person Syndrome – a painful neurological disorder – and the Olympics marked her first show since she announced his diagnosis in 2022.

Celine Dion’s return to the stage is encouraging but risky

Kelly then began choking and struggled to get the words out, saying at one point, “I’m sorry, I’m trying to control myself.”
She noted that in her field Celine is the “golden winner for vocal athletes.” Tirico was also impressed with Celine’s voice, calling it “incredible.”
As you probably know, Celine chronicled her ongoing battle with Stiff Person Syndrome in her documentary, “I Am: Celine Dion,” released in June.
But Celine appears to have gotten the disease under control and is now stronger than ever.
