UM, the global media agency of IPG Mediabrands, today announced the seventh global Impact Day with the theme “ONE Day, ONE ONE, ONE Better World“. Impact Day was launched in 2016 as part of UM’s corporate social responsibility drive, Better World.
Impact Day reflects UM’s commitment to its three core values: Community, Curiosity, Courage. UM staff will participate in selected activities around three pillars:
- Equality – Actions that directly affect people who do not have equal access to goods/services/facilities with the rest of our society
- Sustainability – Actions that directly affect our planet, locally or globally.
- Well-being – Actions that directly affect a person’s physical or mental health well-being.
“UMers from around the world look forward each year to volunteering as a united team in our beloved Impact Day tradition,” said Andrea Suarez, UM Global CEO. “Our theme this year,“ONE Day, ONE ONE, ONE Better World“highlights the incredible impact we can have when we harness the power of our collective action to give back to the communities where we live, serve and grow.”
On Thursday, July 18thUM is closing its offices in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America to work with local charities, NGOs and other organisations to implement social impact actions.
In this context, ONE in Greecetoday joins forces with NGO Higgs prepare and offer 200 free meals for people in need through it Earth Organizationwith UM employees actively participating in the preparation and packaging of meals, participating in workshops on the use of medicinal herbs and ways of recycling at home with the aim of raising awareness, promoting solidarity and adopting healthy habits.
On this day, UMers will share their Impact Day actions on social media using the hashtags #UMBetterWorld and #UMImpactDay.
