Melissa McCarthy recently posted a photo of herself dressed in… formal wear, attending a gala with director Adam Shankman. And then a comment from Barbra Streisand caused some reactions as it was considered “inappropriate”.
Streisand wrote: Give you my regards, did you buy Ozempic?
Ozempic is a medication used to reduce blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes, but it is also used to help with weight loss, especially in celebrity circles.
The audience was surprised both by the indiscreet question and by the fact that a person’s weight and body are constantly being targeted.
Streisand, 82, deleted the comment following the backlash and instead tweeted: “OMG – I went on Instagram to see the photos we posted of the beautiful flowers I received for my birthday! Below them was a photo of my friend Melissa McCarthy, who I sang with on my Encore album. She looked fantastic! I just wanted to pay her a compliment. I forgot that people read.”

The Oscar-nominated actress wasn’t entirely bothered by a comment Streisand left on her Instagram. In fact, she took it as a compliment.
McCarthy shared her response on Instagram Tuesday night, holding up a magazine with a vintage photo of Streisand on the cover. She captioned the post: “@barbrastreisand fan club members only!!!”
“The first thing is that Barbra Streisand knows I exist. He looked for me and thought I looked pretty! McCarthy said in a short video.
