Tonight’s big 7th round derby between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos at OAKA ended in a goalless draw. This result leaves the “greens” at -7 from the pioneer PAOK, while the “red and whites” at -2.
In the first half, the home team were much superior and wasted important scoring opportunities. In the 14th minute, Jedvai’s header went wide, in the 21st minute Ingason missed the target, while in the 25th minute Mladenovic’s shot went wide.
Olympiacos had a great opportunity in the 35th minute, after a mistake by Lodingin, the ball reached El Kabi who shot, but Ingason saved it on the line.
Panathinaikos’ biggest moments of the break came in first-half stoppage time. Tzolakis, however, defeated Sporar twice in stoppage time after a corner, at a time when the “Greens” asked for help to embrace the ball from Retsos.
In the second half Olympiacos were better, they tied, without the second half having any great moments.
In the 71st minute, Lodingin blocked Mouzakitis’ shot, while in the 77th minute Unai shot wide.
The game had rhythm at the end, there were open spaces and in the 91st minute Olympiacos wasted a great opportunity with Masoura. Lodingin, however, won four to four and the score remained that way until the final.
