For violence between minors and gender-based violence, the ND MEP was appointed. Eleonora Meleti this week at the European Parliament.
The ND MEP presented a question about the growing phenomenon of incidents of violence and delinquency among minors “whose dimensions are frightening”, with reference to the latest cases that occurred in Greece.
Ms Meleti highlighted the need to prevent these phenomena, as well as the need to protect children, whether they are in the role of perpetrator or victim, calling on the Commission to take action by taking action and funding national bodies in Member States to design of a common map of actions against the phenomenon.
But beyond the issue of violence against minors, in the context of the International Day of Non-Violence and the collection of opinions at the European Institute for Gender Equality, on the topic of gender-based violence, Eleonora Meleti took to the stage and highlighted the importance of education and prevention, while also announcing that he will soon present in Greece a series of actions and programs aimed at preventing and dealing with the phenomenon.
