Tensions rose between Anna Diamantopoulou and Haris Doukas during the debate, when Ms. Diamantopoulou asked a question about the “example of cooperation in the Municipality of Athens.”
“I did not say that the cooperation was PASOK – SYRIZA – ANTARSYA. I have always been PASOK, I have never left. I am facing the neoliberal frenzy of privatizations,” Mr. Doukas responded.
In turn, D. Diamantopoulou insisted, stating that “in the municipality of Athens there are your opinions, which are not the opinions of PASOK, but they are also out of date. Is this rebranding of SYRIZA in 2015 about cooperation or is it your own opinion?
At that time, Mr. Doukas jokingly stated: “For the PPC, my positions are PASOK positions, I was in the energy sector when you were not in PASOK. For occupations, I stood in favor of free public education. I was never against the metro in Exarchia. But the residents see metal sheets and were acquitted in court.”
