According to saint.gr, among them, Romylos was in charge of the position during the years of Trajan, the cruel persecutor of Christians. In the beginning, Romulus was also a persecutor of Christians and Trajan sent him to France to force the Christian soldiers there to worship idols.
But he was unsuccessful and exiled 11,000 of them to Armenia, where they were all killed at Melitini. But Romulus repented and courageously restrained Trajan’s cruelty. He was then horribly tortured and finally beheaded.
And Eudoxius, a reigning count and a Christian during the Diocletianic persecution, was arrested by the lord Melitinis and after being cruelly tortured, was finally beheaded together with Makarios, Zeno and 1104 (according to another 1134) soldiers.
