A driver near Toronto failed to make a dramatic escape from Canada’s famous Tim Hortons on Tuesday… trying to flee after officers pulled him over in the drive-thru, only to get stuck on top of the hood of a police car… and it was all caught on video.
The violent incident began at Westwood Mall in Mississauga around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night… when police reportedly received a call about a driver of an allegedly stolen Ford Bronco pulling up to the coffee shop.
The video begins with one of the officers pointing a gun at the vehicle and holding the passenger door, when suddenly the driver steps on the accelerator and begins pushing the police car in front of him.
Watch the video… the police car backs up a few feet, but the Ford Bronco stops moving forward and rolls onto the car… forcing the officer inside to jump out to save himself.
The Bronco fails to pass the police vehicles and heads back out onto the street… where another officer pulls up behind the car to block it.
According to Global News in Tornot, officers said no one was injured during the incident. They reportedly arrested a 25-year-old man for possession of property obtained by crime, fleeing a police officer, dangerous operation and obstructing a police officer.
