Motherhood is so good that Lala Kent has officially decided to do it twice.
The Vanderpump Rules star gave birth to her second baby on September 3, she shared on her Instagram Story a day after the blessed event took place.
“Welcome to the world my love,” the Bravo personality wrote alongside audio of adults celebrating the arrival of their new daughter.
The footage also captured some of the little one’s first cries, as Lala added: “9.3.24.”
The 33-year-old announced her pregnancy in March, writing via Instagram: “I’m expanding my pod.”
There was immediate speculation about the identity of Kent’s baby’s father… only for Kent to later reveal that she conceived her second child through the use of a sperm donor via intrauterine insemination (IUI)… a process in which sperm is placed directly into the uterus.
“When my life took a very different direction, I knew I wanted more children,” she told Cosmopolitan in January.
“It was such a weird thing that was happening because everyone was telling me, ‘You’ll find someone.’ And I started thinking, ‘Why does my desire to have more children have to involve someone else?’”
The birth of Lala’s latest child comes three years after Kent and then-fiancé Randall Emmett welcomed daughter Ocean… just seven months before they called off their three-year engagement.
“It’s a road I never thought I’d be on,” Kent added to Cosmopolitan a few months ago. “I really saw myself in the default relationship and raising a family, but now that the universe has other plans for me, I’m so grateful that was an option.”
The reality TV star, who found her sperm donor through California Cryobank, has been quite open about the process.
She previously said she “felt the need to start talking about this because there are women in the world who are sitting around waiting for a man to come into the picture and are just wanting to have children, even though there is another way to get pregnant.”
During a March episode of her “Give Them Lala” podcast, the host revealed that “looks were probably the lowest on the totem pole for me” when it came to her sperm donor, explaining:
“And I hate to say it, but I also didn’t need them to be extremely intelligent because I’m not.”
Kent, who is open to the idea of having a third child, also spoke candidly about getting pregnant so quickly on her journey.
“I just couldn’t imagine having a second child on the first try,” she said.
“I thought I had a little more time to dive into something like[becoming a mom again]. I really did. And even my fertility doctor was like, ‘I feel like this was more of a meet and greet.’ It’s like, ‘Hey, nice to meet you. Here you go. Bye!’ It was so quick.”
