Joey Chestnut and his longtime enemy Takeru Kobayashi competed in a hot dog eating contest for the first time in 15 years… with Joey winning in a landslide and setting a record in the process.
The rivals faced off on Monday at “Unfinished Beef,” a Netflix special live from Las Vegas, and gorged on sausages and buns … with a massive crowd cheering them on.
Joey cruised to victory…leading the entire time. When the 10-minute timer expired, Joey’s total stood at 83 hot dogs…compared to a final tally of 66 for Kobayahsi.
It’s a new world record for Joey… who took home a hot dog trophy and a wrestling belt, plus bragging rights over Kobayashi.
The showdown was 15 years in the making… Joey and Kobayashi last faced off in 2009 at the traditional Nathan’s Coney Island competition… when Jaws defeated Kobayashi to defend his mustard belt.
Rob Riggle and Nikki Bella hosted the event…the first time Nikki has been in public since her husband, the “Dancing With the Stars” pro Artem Chigvintsevwas arrested thursday for domestic violence.

Nikki, who got it a ton of love from the crowd, was not wearing his wedding ring… and did not let the incident affect his work.
Joey’s margin of victory increased even further after the final whistle… with Kobayashi losing a hot dog and dropping from 67 to 66 after all the sausage scraps and bread crumbs were weighed.
The rules for this game were no dipping hot dogs in water… and Joey said he had to learn a whole new way to swallow glizzies.
After eating 83 hot dogs and buns, something tells us Joey won’t be hitting up a Vegas buffet this trip. 😆
