The Jawa 42 FJ brings a sportier and more powerful option to the market, featuring several updates and refinements over its predecessors. The design of the Jawa 42 FJ adopts a modern retro aesthetic, a trademark of the brand. The motorcycle features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank adorned with an aluminum plate on the side, which adds a distinctive touch.
The side panels retain the classic styling seen on other Jawa 42 models, paying homage to the brand’s heritage. The fenders are complemented by the iconic Jawa tail light, which extends from the rear fender, reinforcing the brand’s signature look.
Further enhancing the Jawa 42 FJ’s sporty appeal are elements such as multi-spoke alloy wheels, a blacked-out engine and upward-curving exhaust pipes. The base model variant is fitted with wire-spoke wheels, providing a subtle design difference. Overall, the Jawa 42 FJ’s design stands out, especially when considering the five colour options available.
In terms of features, the Jawa 42 FJ is well-equipped with LED lighting, a USB charging port and a single-pod digital instrument cluster, meeting the expectations of the modern rider while retaining a vintage charm.
Powering the Jawa 42 FJ is a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 28.7 BHP and 29.62 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch, ensuring smoother gear shifts and better drivability.
The motorcycle is built on a steel cradle frame, which is supported by a 41mm telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by a 320mm front disc brake, accompanied by a rear disc brake, with dual-channel ABS offered as standard for added safety.
With reservations now open, Jawa enthusiasts can expect deliveries to begin soon. The Jawa 42 FJ aims to cater to those seeking a blend of classic design and modern performance, adding a dynamic new option to the Jawa lineup.
