The selection of new administrators for the Health Regions will be discussed today in the Committee on Social Affairs.

Who are the new administrators of the Health Regions?
Ogla Balaura
Olga Balaoura is the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GAONA “Saint Savvas”. She specializes in Health Services and has previous experience in the Transformation of Hospitals and Health Care Facilities. She was also appointed by the Minister of Health as the country representative of the Comprehensive Cancer Centers (CCC) in supranational or international organizations and collective bodies. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of Public Health. In the past (2010 – 2014) she served as Rector and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GNI. Since 2014, she has been a systematic consultant on issues related to the Transformation of the National Health System. She has worked as a special consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) and for Giz (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) regarding the Reform and Support Program for the National Health System of Greece. Olga Baloura is a PhD candidate at the Department of Medicine of the Democritus University of Thrace and holds two Master’s degrees. The first master’s degree is in National and European Management, from Panteion University and the second degree is in Health Economics, Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics (LSE) with (Onassis Foundation Scholarship).
CHRISTOS ROILOS
Born in Athens in 1966. He studied Geology at the University of Patras. He completed his postgraduate studies in Seismology at the University of Athens and then in Business Administration. He worked as a Geologist for Hydroelectric Projects and as a Seismologist in charge of Safety Control and Seismic Monitoring of Dams. He has been involved in politics since 1984. While still a student, he was the President of the DAP-NDFK of the University of Patras, a member of the Central Council of the EFEE and a member of the University Senate. From 1991 to 1994, he was a member of the Executive Office of the ONNED and an executive of the Department of Political Planning and Communication of New Democracy. In 1995, he was a candidate for president of the New Democracy Youth Party at its 3rd Congress. He founded the liberal youth forum “Political Essay”. In 1997, he was elected a member of the Central Committee of New Democracy. He ran for Councillor in the Municipality of Athens with D. Avramopoulos in the 1998 Municipal Elections. From 2000 to 2005 he was an advisor to D. Avramopoulos in the Municipality of Athens and then in the Ministry of Tourism Development. In the period 2004-2005 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the “Tourism Development Company” and Vice-President of the company “Hellenic Casino Corfu”. In April 2005 he took over as CEO of the Organization ‘Cultural Capital of Europe – Patras 2006’ and in 2007 he completed the project with the final liquidation of the Organization. From February to September 2008 he was Director of the Children’s Psychiatric Hospital of Attica. In September 2008 he took over as Director of the General Hospital of the Attikon University.
Dimitris Tsalikakis
Dimitris Tsalikakis was born in Neapoli Thessaloniki in 1977, is married and father of two daughters. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Ioannina, two master’s degrees, in “Business Information Systems” from the Open University of Cyprus and in “Healthcare Facilities Management” from the University of Macedonia, as well as a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ioannina. He is a professor at the Department of Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Western Macedonia, with a main research focus on Biomedical Data Modeling and Analysis. He was Deputy Governor and Vice-President of AHEPA Thessaloniki University Hospital from August 2013 to December 2014. From December 2014 to the present he is Deputy Governor of the 4th Health Region. From 2008 to 2013 he worked as PD/407, practicing independent teaching at several Universities and Technological Higher Education Institutions in Northern Greece. More than 50 of his scientific articles have been published in international scientific journals, in proceedings of international refereed conferences and in books, which have accumulated more than 700 cross-references. He has been a member of many research projects, both in writing and in their implementation.
PANAGIOTIS BOYATZIDIS
Panagiotis Boyatzidis studied Mathematics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed postgraduate studies in Healthcare Management at the School of Social Sciences of the Hellenic Open University. He holds a PhD from the University of Ioannina with a doctoral thesis entitled: “Internal Customer Satisfaction and Service Efficiency. An Empirical Study in the Healthcare Field.” His research interests focus on Health Services Economics and Management. His scientific activity includes the presentation of several papers at scientific conferences in the thematic areas of Finance, Management, Efficiency – Quality of Healthcare Services as well as the publication of scientific articles in reputable journals with a large number of cross-references to them. Professionally, from 1997 onwards he worked at ESY, as an administrative officer. He was Commander of Kozani General Hospital “MAMATSIO” (2004-2010) and Deputy Commander of the 3rd Healthcare Region of Macedonia (2013-2015). He is also a scientific partner in postgraduate programs of the Hellenic Open University, the University of Macedonia and the International University of Greece. Today he is Commander of the 3rd Healthcare Region of Macedonia and holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Obstetrics, School of Health Sciences, University of Western Macedonia.
FOTIS SERETIS
Fotis Seretis was born in Lamia in 1961. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Athens and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from ESDY. He was President of the Dental Association of Fthiotida (1990-2002) and Vice-President of the Board of Directors at Lamia Hospital (1994-1995). Furthermore, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Lamia (1994-1998) and the Special Advisor GG of the Region of Central Greece (2000-2001). He was Deputy General Manager of PESYP of Central Greece (2001-2002) and President and General Manager of PESYP of Central Greece (2002-2003), as well as President and General Manager of G. PESYP of ATTICA (2003-2004) and President and Managing Director of PESYP AE (2003-2004). He is a member of the Board of Directors, of the Central Disciplinary Council of the SNS (2002-2004) and special advisor to the Secretary-General of Public Health (2010-2011), president and general director of AEMY SA. (2011-2015).
Finally, he was a scientific associate at the Department of Physiotherapy at TEI Lamia, the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Athens and ESDY.
ILIAS TEODOROPOULOS
Elias Theodoropoulos was born in 1978 and is married. He is the commander of the “Agios Andreas” hospital in Patras. He is an economist and worked in the European Program Management for Western Greece – Peloponnese – Epirus – Ionian Islands. He participated in the process for the position of commander of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and qualified for the three finalists together with Dimitris Bakos and Giorgos Dentsikas.
NEKTARIOS PAPAVASILIOU
Nektarios Papavasiliou was born in 1967 in Heraklion, Crete. He is an economist at the Department of Economics of the University of Athens and has a Masters degree in Business Administration from the United States of America, following a scholarship. He also holds a Masters degree in Journalism and Communication. As a business consultant, he has worked as an executive in the health sector. He has many distinctions for his scientific work and for his particularly active participation in the preparation of Feasibility-Sustainability Studies for the Development of the Greek Region, but also in general. He is married to Mastoraki, a French and Italian teacher, and they have a daughter.
