Dead Samoa’s national boxing coach has been located, Lionel Elika Fatupaito, on Friday at context of the Paris Olympic Games.
According to Foxnews, Fatupaito, 60, reportedly suffered cardiac arrest while in the Olympic Village.
The International Boxing Federation confirmed the news of Fatupaito’s death in a statement on Saturday.

“We at the International Boxing Federation (IBA) extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Lionel Elika Fatupaito, Samoa’s national boxing coach, who tragically passed away during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.”
“Lionel’s dedication and passion for the sport left an indelible mark on the boxing community. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with Team Samoa and everyone affected by this profound loss,” the statement continued.
According to AFP, Fatupaito died while at the Olympic Village, where he received first aid. The cause of death was listed as “natural causes.”
