Kamala Harris is currently the top choice among fellow Democrats to change Joe Biden at the head of the ticket if he drops out of the presidential race — and there has been a recent shift within the party to try to make that happen — but Donald Trump couldn’t be happier with this situation, TMZ noted.
Former Democratic Congressman from Ohio Tim Ryan tells TMZ … Americans are realizing that it’s not realistic to try to maneuver forward with President Biden after the commander-in-chief’s disastrous June 27 debate against Trump — his Republican rival. Instead, many Democrats are beginning to recognize that Kamala is their way forward.
“She’s the only candidate (because) she’s vice president and she’s on the ticket with him who can inherit his war chest and campaign infrastructure,” according to Ryan, who lost reelection to JD Vance in 2020, after more than 20 years in office.
Ryan says he has spoken to members of Congress, Senate staff and other key players in the Democratic Party — and they all yearn for unity, reconciliation and government reform, which they believe Kamala can deliver as president.
Trump, however, sees a potential battle with Kamala for the presidency as a huge victory for him. His campaign spokesman, Karoline Leavittinformed us that Kamala is performing worse than Biden in one of the direct polls against Trump.
Leavitt cited a ballot that confirmed Trump defeated Harris by 7 factors — 49% to 42% with 9% undecided. The same ballot revealed Trump won by 5 points over Harris when taking into account RFK Jr., Jill Stein It is West Cornel. By contrast, the most recent New York Times/Sienna School poll shows Trump leading Biden by 6 points.
Leavitt put this option to TMZ… “The Democrats are in a no-win scenario. If they stick with Biden, they lose. If they switch to Kamala, they lose by even more. President Trump is going to win no matter what they decide.”
However, Ryan wouldn’t see it that way… the former congressman claimed that Kamala would change the dynamics of this race back to the Democrats, bringing contemporary enthusiasm and bolstering their support among minorities.
Ryan says he campaigned with Kamala in 2020 when she launched her failed bid for the White House — and he or she knows how to connect with people. In other words, Kamala is a total rock star.
Ryan also noted that Biden has a long track record of trying to do the right thing for the country, so he thinks it’s possible that Joe will make the right decision and withdraw from the race to make way for a younger generation of democratic leaders, starting with Kamala.
However, earlier this week, a panicked Democratic staffer instructed us that it is just a matter of time before Biden leaves and Kamala apparently replaces him.
The vendor compared Biden’s potential exit to a “money factor,” explaining that the funds he raised were earmarked for the Biden/Harris campaign. Now there’s a critical question about whether or not that money could be available to a different candidate, which fits with what Ryan said about Kamala inheriting Biden’s war chest.
However, for now… Biden is digging your heels in and made it clear that he is persevering in his 2024 presidential bid.
