A concert in Berlin will be held in memory of the late Russian opposition leader, Alexey Navalny. The concert will take place on June 4, the politician’s birthday, according to the Telegram channel “Navalni’s Team” in its announcement today.
“We will continue to fight to make Navalny’s name and ideas heard louder and louder. O put on kill Navalny. But he cannot be defeated, as long as we remember him and as long as there are people who talk about him”, states the advertisement.
Who will participate?
The bands Kasta and Pornofilmi, rapper Noize MC and singer Aigel will participate in the show.
Following the announcement of Alexei Navalny’s death in the “Polar Wolf” prison colony in Yamala, the Demokrati-JA eV movement called for a section of the street leading to the Russian embassy in Berlin to be renamed Alexei Navalny Street. In two months, more than 47 thousand people signed the petition. On April 4, an appeal with the same content was presented to The Hague City Council.
Also Russian musicians wrote a song dedicated to Alexei Navalny.
On March 26, 40 days after Alexei Navalny’s death, a 10-minute article titled “In memory of Alexei Navalny” was published on the Navalny Live YouTube channel. The late leader’s associates did not say who took part in the recording, but viewers were able to recognize the voices of journalist Leonid Parfionov, rapper Noize MC, singer Zebfira, actor Artur Smolyannikov and many others.
