President Joe Biden recently commented on Caitlin Clark WNBA contract and pay disparities in women’s sport.

The president wrote, “Women in sports continue to push new boundaries and inspire us all.”
The 81-year-old then referenced No. 1 WNBA draft pick Caitlin Clark.
“But right now we’re seeing that even if you’re the best, women don’t get their share,” he said.
“It’s time we give our daughters the same opportunities as our sons and ensure women get what they deserve.”

Roomies weigh in on Joe’s comments
A roommate brought up the president’s foreign war spending.

“This is not an equal work/equal pay situation. Once the general public starts purchasing tickets/merchandise and TV ratings increase to NBA levels, the WNBA will be able to pay its athletes millions.” He wrote.

Conversations about women’s salaries in sports have surfaced again after Caitlin Clark’s salary was released to the public. As previously reported, Caitlin will reportedly take home $76,535 in her first year with the Indiana Fever. Her salary will increase to $78,066 by 2025 and will reach $85,000 in 2026. Finally, the guard’s coins will increase to $97,000 by 2027.
Angel Reese, who was the 7th pick in the first round of the WNBA draft, will receive $73,429. It will also increase over time. The Chicago Sky will pay Bayou Barbie $82,000 in 2026. Additionally, Reese will pocket $93,000 through 2027.
