Abby and Brittany Hensel have heard all the noise Abby’s wedding has created, and it’s deafening.
The Siamese twins known for their TLC show Abby and Brittany took to TikTok on Friday and seemingly reacted to recent headlines about Abby’s marriage to Josh Bowling, a nurse and United States Army veteran. They tied the knot in 2021, but the revelation was only made recently, after Today obtained the marriage records.
“The internet is even noisier today,” the twins wrote in a video caption. “We’ve always been around.”
The caption also included the hashtags “#abbyandbrittanyhensel #happy #love #lovestory #marriage.”
In a follow-up postthe twins spliced scenes from Monsters Inc. (when Sulley looks shocked and scared) alongside footage of Abby’s wedding day and other outings. The caption for this post? Two eye-rolling emojis.
Then, in a third post, the twins are seen posing next to Josh as text runs through the video with an ominous voiceover saying, “This is a message to all the haters out there. If you don’t like what I do, watch Everything I’m doing, you’re still a fan.”
The sisters first gained notoriety during a 1996 appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show where they informed the world about their lives as dicephalic Siamese twins. For Abby and Brittany, all organs and bloodstream are shared. While Abby controls the right arm and leg, her sister controls the left.
After meeting Oprah in 1996, the twins documented their lives on their reality show, Abby and Brittanywhich lasted for one season in 2012. Since then, they have lived a quiet life after graduating from Bethel University.
In addition to the marriage registration confirmation, Abby and Brittany’s joint Facebook account recently updated their profile picture to show a photo of the conjoined twins in a wedding dress in front of Abby’s husband. In the photo, Josh is seen from the back wearing a gray suit and holding Abby’s hand.
Abby and Brittny now live in their home state of Minnesota, where they work as fifth grade teachers.
