For Lizzo, it seems like it’s about time…
… abandon your career?

Is her career over?
“All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than I found it,” the Grammy winner continued.
“But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it.
“I am constantly facing lies that are told about me because of influence and views…being the butt of the joke every time because of my appearance.”
Lizzo did not elaborate in her message.
Last August, the artist was accused of sexual harassment by a series of backup dancers who said she humiliated them by forcing them to eat a banana from a stripper’s vagina, among other accusations.
We can only assume Lizzo was referencing this lawsuit when she added on March 29:
“My character being criticized by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name.”

Emphasizing that she “didn’t sign up for this shit,” the 35-year-old concluded:
“I QUIT.”
Lizzo has been keeping a low profile since the aforementioned lawsuit was filed.
“These last few days have been terribly difficult and extremely disappointing,” she said. responded in an Instagram message on August 3. “My work ethic, morals and respect were questioned. My character was criticized.”
Lizzo continued at the time to call the allegations “sensational stories,” saying in part:
“Sometimes I have to make difficult decisions, but it was never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or that they were not valued as an important part of the team.”

Last November, the artist got candid with her followers, explaining in a separate Instagram post that she was taking time to focus on herself.
“Hi. I’m working on… music, myself, relationships with people and food, my anxiety, my body, my business, and my trust issues with the world… but they are Deep now, deeper than ever. Xoxo,” Lizzo wrote at the time
Meanwhile, on March 17, Lizzo updated fans on her career plans and goals.
“I’m writing some of the best songs and I’m so excited for you to hear them. I’m almost ready to be a normal human being again, to be outdoors… to love and trust people… to try to make new friends… to go live… to sing and talk about my pain and joy ,” she said, adding just two weeks ago:
“Thank you for your patience and to those who unfollowed, thank you too because now I know where we are.”
