Secrets don’t stay secrets for long Summer Home: Martha’s Vineyard…especially when they just blurt it out, out of the blue.
It was the quote from the premiere: Summer Marie Thomas shaming roommate Alex Tyree by not asking her, aka “the person you’ve been inside,” to hang out with him before vacation started. Summer dropped that hookup revelation bomb in the middle of the first dinner with the entire cast of the stationsending shockwaves through the group… the result of which is revealed in ET’s exclusive first look at episode 2.
It’s a new day and the vacationers have split into two groups: Summer, Preston Mitchum and Jordan Emmanuel they go to brunch together while the rest of the team goes to the gym. Preston gets straight to the point, asking Summer, “How was Alex… in bed?”
“Ah…” Summer moans.
“Ah. Wasn’t it good?” he responds, earning a laugh from Jordan. “Ah, damn.”
“Alex is fun,” Summer offers. “He’s a good cuddler.”
“That doesn’t surprise me at all,” Jordan mutters as he eats and listens to the conversation.
“He’s a great kisser,” Summer continues, before the preview cuts back to a season 1 interview in which Summer confessed to being the type of person who likes to “make love”. At the time, she suspected Alex might be a “great love maker.” It cuts to a new confessional and Summer says that her relationship with Alex “wasn’t as passionate” as she would have liked.
“It would just be… Alex is a great kisser,” she adds. “They’re not quickies, but they’re just not there…yet.”
Watch it all happen here:
As for Alex, he refuses to knock and tell in his own confessional; but Summer offers an update on their situation after the fact: “He’s not in the lineup,” she tells Preston and Jordan, eliciting more laughter.
Meanwhile, out of earshot of Alex at the gym, the other ladies of the house… Jasmine Ellis Cooper, Bria Fleming, Shanice Henderson and Season 2 newcomer Noelle Hughley – discuss their pre-summer fuck. Summer’s close friend Noelle tries to rewrite history, claiming that Summer and Alex never got together because “it was, like, ‘you’re not showing me who you really are, so you can’t try to fuck me.'” ‘kind of thing.” This confuses the group, with Bria questioning how Noelle missed Summer’s jaw-dropping comment at their first dinner.
“Maybe she was so busy fucking those crab legs that she didn’t hear anything?” Shanice raises hypotheses in a confessional.
“I don’t know what Noelle thought, ‘He was inside me,’ I meant,” Jasmine jokes in her own confessional. “That definitely doesn’t mean he was inside your W-2 filing your taxes.”
“Before Summer and I went on vacation, I always told her, you know, ‘Is Alex my type? What’s the story behind you guys?’” Summer recalls in her interview. “And she said, ‘It’s okay, there’s nothing to worry about. They just hung out together.’ Going out and having sex are two different things! You’re supposed to be my girl and you can’t even keep it real with me?
Fans will have to tune in and see what happens with Noelle, Summer, and Alex from here, but judging by what Jordan teased ET Before Season 2 premieres, viewers are in for a rough ride.
“I mean, it’s hard to forget,” Jordan noted of Summer’s quote. “We had just sat down for our first meal together, collectively, since the previous summer. So it was an introduction to the trip, one I didn’t expect, and I was just stunned. I didn’t show my face (in the trailer), to be honest, because the way I was trapped? Yes.”
“That was an accurate description of what’s in store for the rest of the season, which is just shocking lines and interesting arguments, and then a lot of makeup and, yes, a rollercoaster,” she added.
