Polestar fans can expect more performance-oriented special editions along the lines of the BST 270 Edition It is BST 230 Edition versions of the Polestar 2.
The information was revealed by Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath, in an interview with Engine1 during this week’s 2024 New York Auto Show.
Ingenlath did not say when the next editions of BST will be released or what models they will be based on.
The 2nd Edition BST 270 was launched in 2022 and followed by the Edition BST 230 in 2023. The three-digit number in the name indicates the production of each edition, and Polestar has not yet said what BST means.

Modifications featured by the cars included extra power in combination with Polestar’s top-of-the-line chassis upgrades.
The cars also featured unique styling treatments such as a racing stripe and model-exclusive paint jobs. At the launch of the BST Edition 230, Ingenlath said that special editions allow the automaker to explore new design details, such as colors, graphics and materials, in “faster and more creative ways”.
Polestar used the New York auto show for the local debut of the 2025 4 compact crossover, which starts sales in the US next month and should be in customers’ hands by the end of the year. Polestar will also begin deliveries of the 2025 3 midsize SUV still this year.
Additional models in the works include a sedan 5 scheduled to debut at the end of this year, a roadster 6 scheduled for 2026 and a mysterious model nicknamed 7 which will arrive around 2027.
