Here’s What Allegedly Happened Between Gypsy Rose and Her Husband
Gypsy Rose announced their separation on Thursday, March 28, via PEOPLE. The outlet obtained a statement that Rose allegedly shared on her private Facebook account.
“People have been asking what’s going on in my life. Unfortunately, my husband and I are going through a separation and I have moved in with my parents at my parents’ house on the bayou. I count on the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this process. I’m learning to listen to my heart. Now I need time to allow myself to discover… who I am,” she wrote in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
It’s unclear whether Gypsy or Ryan plan to officially file for divorce.
The 32-year-old is only about three months out of prison. However, she has been Ryan’s wife since 2022. The estranged couple tied the knot in an uninvited prison ceremony over the summer.
As previously reported, authorities launched Gypsy Rose Blanchard from prison on December 27, 2023. She served eight years at the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri for her role in plotting the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.
Dee Dee, who suffered from Munchausen by proxy, kept Gypsy Rose in a state of false chronic illness by manipulating medication and her daughter.
Upon her release from prison, Gypsy shared that she was excited to be living “with a man” for the first time in her life. She told People in a December 2023 interview that they planned to have a “reception/rewedding” with their family and friends. Although the prison wedding “meant something” to them, Rose said the party would be “for everyone” and for them.
Earlier this month, she closed her public social media accounts, calling them the “door to hell.” She credited her father for the recommendation.
