Jenn Tran is promising chaos in the 21st season of The Bachelorette. Following ABC Announcement that the student physician assistant would serve as the show’s first Asian-American leadDenny Directo from ET I spoke to her about the journey ahead.
“I don’t really have a game plan,” Jenn told ET about how she’ll handle distributing the roses. “…I’m really going to be myself and that means all the good, the bad, the chaotic and the psychotic. That’s really what you’re going to have to look forward to.”
Jenn, who said she plans to “smile through the chaos,” assured Bachelor Nation that on her season, “you’re not going to get the polished Jenn, the sad, perfect Jenn.”
As for her suitors, Jenn noted that she is “very ready” to meet the guys.
“I’ve literally been waiting for this moment since I found out,” she said. “I’m really excited to see what they’re going to be like, what they’re going to be like, how funny they’re going to be. I’m really excited to flirt with my butt. I’m going to flirt. It’s natural. I can flirt with my mom. I flirt with everyone.”
When it comes to what she expects from men, Jenn said she wants them to be “100% authentic and themselves.”
“I hope they don’t have too much chaos. I think there’s only room for one person to be chaotic in a relationship, and that’s me. I affirm that,” she joked. “I want someone to ground me. I’m a Sagittarius, I’m a fire sign, so I’m a little crazy… I bring this fiery energy. I want someone to have a little fiery energy, but also to ground me a little, put me in one place.”
A perfect partner for Jenn would be someone who no they chew with their mouths open and are fluent in “cheeky banter,” she said.
“If your sense of humor is my sense of humor, that’s all I really want, because ultimately the lust is going to go away and all this other stuff is going to go away, and if you have the same sense of humor humor and you still have that friendship at the end, that’s what will make a relationship lasting,” she explained.
